Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage prospective clients through phone and email communication
- Facilitate quotation preparation, proposals, and negotiation of terms to close sales
- Follow up on quotations to increase conversion rates
- Handover successfully closed business to underwriters for placement
- Prepare risk notes for new business or as allocated
- Respond to client inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare for client and internal meetings as required
- Keep the MD updated on new business progress
- Escalate any critical or unresolved issues for action
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and business activity
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:
- Diploma or Degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, or related field
- At least 1–2 years’ experience in General Underwriting, preferably in an Insurance Brokerage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Self-driven, with a proactive and client-centric attitude
- Market awareness and ability to work independently and as part of a team
