Dance Centre Kenya (DCK) is a premier dance institution based in Nairobi, offering a diverse range of classes for both children and adults. Established in 2015 by Artistic Director Cooper Rust, an alumna of the School of American Ballet, DCK aims to make high-quality dance education accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic background.

Community Engagement and Performances

DCK is renowned for its community outreach and performances. The DCK Ballet Company provides students demonstrating dedication and talent with additional training and opportunities to perform semi-professionally four times a year. Notably, their annual production of The Nutcracker at the Kenya National Theatre showcases young dancers from diverse backgrounds, some of whom receive scholarships to support their training .
