About Company

CURE International operates the AIC-CURE Children’s Hospital of Kenya, a pioneering pediatric orthopedic teaching hospital located in Kijabe, approximately 60 kilometers northwest of Nairobi. Established in 1998, it was the first facility of its kind in Africa, dedicated to providing specialized surgical care for children with treatable disabilities.

Key Services and Facilities

  • Medical Care: The hospital performs over 2,500 surgeries annually, addressing conditions such as clubfoot, cleft lip and palate, bowed legs, knock knees, burn contractures, osteogenesis imperfecta, and untreated trauma.

  • Facilities: The hospital comprises 56 beds, three operating rooms, an outpatient clinic, and a 14-bed hostel for patients requiring long-term care.

  • Spiritual and Emotional Support: Beyond medical treatment, CURE Kenya offers spiritual care and counseling to patients and their families, reflecting its Christian mission to “heal the sick and proclaim the kingdom of God.”

Training and Capacity Building

CURE Kenya serves as a regional training center in partnership with the College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa (COSECSA), offering residency and fellowship programs in pediatric orthopedics. Over the years, it has trained more than 4,400 medical professionals.

Community Outreach

To reach underserved populations, the hospital conducts mobile clinics in rural areas, providing assessments and raising awareness about available treatments.

Recent Developments

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, CURE Kenya initiated several projects, including the construction of a new surgical center and the installation of a solar power system to enhance sustainability.
