The Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF) is a leading non-profit development organization that provides catalytic funding—both repayable and non-repayable grants—to early and growth-stage businesses across Sub-Saharan Africa. Its mission is to support innovative enterprises in the agribusiness and renewable energy sectors, aiming to reduce rural poverty, promote resilient communities, and create jobs. Since its inception in 2008, AECF has invested over US$300 million in more than 510 businesses across 26 countries, impacting over 33 million lives and creating over 35,000 jobs.
